After having some less than pleasant experiences with other Realtors® in the past, we were a little nervous about selecting the right person to help us purchase our first single family house. Garrett had come highly recommended by friends, and he did not disappoint. From the very first introductory phone call, this was an entirely different experience from before. Garrett took the time to get to know us, and made it abundantly clear that he cared about us as individuals as well as clients. No matter how busy he was, he always made lots of time for us, and never made us feel rushed, or like any trivial or even redundant question was unworthy of his thorough attention. Garrett's plentiful and varied skills and strengths make him a powerhouse at his job. He's terrific socially, which makes interacting with him a delight, and this strength seems to be very important for how he can build relationships with other Realtors®. He's organized and thorough, and was always on top of our laundry list of requests when going through the daunting escrow process. And his background in design and general understanding of construction was incredibly helpful in being able to envision the potential in houses, and in actual planning our remodel when our offer was accepted. To give you a sense of who he is in a moment of where his design skills and generosity intersected while we were in escrow, he offered to go furniture shopping with us to help select the right rug and sectional for our new place, and spent a couple hours comparing fabric samples and making sure we got what we wanted. Incredible! Finally, and perhaps most worthy of note (hard to say, with all the appreciation we have for him! in this absolutely insane market, we were able to close on our dream house in less than two months from the day we first contacted Garrett. A true Los Angeles realty miracle! While I'd felt very confident in my home searching skills, Garrett had actually suggested the house we ended up buying in a San Rafael, Pasadena, a neighborhood I'd never heard of that was outside our Zillow search perimeter, but still in a very central and desirable location. We loved the house and its magical, super private backyard, but naturally, there was a lot of competition for it. With Garrett's guidance, we were able to make an offer that was selected out of 15 competing offers. We were thrilled not have missed out on our own little slice of paradise, and can't wait to move in next week. Our only regret in finding our home so quickly is that it means less time to hang out with our new friend Garrett, but we are looking forward to having him over for a celebratory dinner soon. He was super communicative and always on top of things; it’s clear he knows the business and is super passionate about what he does. Attending showings with him was as fun as it was informative, and we quickly narrowed down what we liked and disliked about our potential first home.
